Guatemala

The Presidential Commission for Open and Electronic Government of Guatemala joined LAC4 on behalf of the Government of Guatemala in October 2023.

Cooperation between LAC4 and Guatemala has focused on strengthening institutional capacities, improving cybersecurity governance and supporting workforce development. Guatemala has participated actively in regional capacity-building initiatives and has hosted several specialized trainings, including programmes dedicated to cybersecurity for small and medium-sized enterprises. Through these activities, LAC4 has supported Guatemala in developing practical cybersecurity skills, promoting cyber resilience among public institutions and businesses, and strengthening collaboration across the national cybersecurity ecosystem.

Presidential Commission for Open and Electronic Government (Comisión Presidencial de Gobierno Abierto y Electrónico) is a special commission under the President of Guatemala to promote and coordinate open government principles, digital governance, transparency, citizen engagement and digital transformation.

Following Up the In-person Workshop for SME-s Held in March 2025 in Guatemala (March 2026)

LAC4 organised an online follow-up training on 26 March 2026 to SME-s that participated in in-person workshop in March 2025 in Guatemala. Training focused on evaluating participant’s cyber resilience one year after the training and offer additional knowledge for strengthening cyber resilience.
