LAC4 Members-Only Seminar: SOC Fundamentals & Comparative on European Models

As the Latin American and Caribbean region undergoes rapid digital transformation, the traditional Security Operations Center (SOC) model is being challenged by the need for increased agility and cross-border collaboration. To address these evolving demands, LAC4 hosted its latest members-only webinar on this topic, which aimed at providing participants with a foundational blueprint for building and scaling effective SOCs.

The seminar focused on:

  • Establishing a Foundational Blueprint: Defined the “Minimum Viable SOC” through the essential triad of Visibility, Analysis, and Governance.
  • Analysing Comparative European Models: Evaluated diverse strategic implementations.
  • Addressing Modern Trends: Discussed the transition from reactive to proactive defence.
  • Exploring Diverse Architectures: Examined the benefits and implementation of sectoral and regional SOC models.

Participants: This seminar was specifically designed for professionals and decision-makers from LAC4 member countries— Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.

LAC4 experts Albert Haro and Carlos Leonardo provided the audience with great insights and a full overview of different components that a SOC needs to take into nowadays panorama.
