LAC4 and EUCyberNet invite LAC4 members to join the exclusive members-only online seminar series on the most current cybersecurity topics. Join us for the 7thedition on ‘Vulnerability Assessment’ that will take place on December 3rd, 2025 at 9:00 AM (UTC/GMT -5) – with a special expert from Seoul, Korea thanks to the collaboration with CAMP and KISA Korean agencies.
The primary objective of this seminar is to elevate the cyber resilience of LAC4 member countries by professionalizing their approach to vulnerability management. The seminar will equip the participants with the practical knowledge and methodologies necessary to implement effective vulnerability assessment and management programs. The focus will be on transitioning from reactive incident response to proactive risk mitigation.
Three main actionable outcomes will be pursued by our experts:
Understanding vulnerability assessment and management processes. This will ensure CSIRTs and technical teams can establish or refine their own internal doctrine and concepts for cyber risk management.
Knowledge of scanning and analysis tools and methodologies. This hands-on component will empower participants to select and utilize the most appropriate technologies to efficiently and accurately identify security flaws within their networks.
Strengthening capabilities to prioritize mitigation actions in government and critical infrastructure environments. This will focus on prioritization and remediation strategy / as it ensures limited resources are directed toward the vulnerabilities that pose the greatest and most immediate risks.
Overall, concentrating on effective mitigation will directly contribute to the digital transformation of the LAC region, as improved security builds trust and resilience in new technologies.
Experts joining with us this time will be Mr. Priit Kaup, from Estonian Information System Authority and Mr. Sangsoo Jeong, offensive researcher of 78ResearchLab in Seoul, Korea. Special thanks to KISA (Korea Internet and Security Agency) and CAMP (Cybersecurity Alliance for Mutual Progress) for facilitating the expert from Korea to have an even more international and global take on the topic of Vulnerability Assessment.
