Strengthening Cyber Resilience in Central America: Follow-up Session for SMEs

Following the successful on-site workshop held in March 2025 in Antigua, Guatemala, LAC4 reaffirms its commitment to the business sector in Central America. On that occasion, a selected group of motivated entrepreneurs with ambitions to expand into European Union markets worked intensively to assess IT risks and create strategic roadmaps.

One year later, we return alongside our experts Mari Seeba and Milena Patiño to evaluate progress, share best practices, and measure the long-term impact of the implemented strategies.

This online session is designed to:

  • Assess progress: Determine if cybersecurity capacities have increased following the 2025 exercise.
  • Y2Y (Year-to-Year) Comparison: Use the F4SLE tool to compare current results with the initial diagnostic to provide measurable impact.
  • Share best practices: Create a roundtable space where companies share success stories and challenges in implementing their 6-month plans.
  • Resource Launch: Official presentation of the new LAC4 Guide for SMEs, a tool designed to reinforce digital defenses and cyber resilience.

The workshop, with a duration of approximately 3 hours, will cover key topics for the international competitiveness of SMEs, including:

  • Introduction to information security.
  • Information security standards and legislation.
  • Supply chain security.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.
  • Zero Trust architecture.

This activity is specifically targeted at the SMEs that participated in the on-site seminar in March 2025.
