“As we reflect on 2025, it stands out as a year shaped by strong partnerships across the Latin American and Caribbean region and the EU with our shared commitment to building more cyber resilient societies. Looking forward, in 2026, LAC4 will continue to prioritise practical and needs-based cyber capacity building for the region. Building on the successes of CyberWeek@LAC4, specialised training for SMEs, ports and collaboration with Her CyberTracks initiative, we are excited to expand our engagement with new trainings and seminars to further strengthen cyber capacities in LAC. 2025 in Numbers 

• 39 countries reached: from Central America and the Caribbean to Andean region and Southern Cone countries across South America.  

• 86 activities organised and events attended: ranging from workshops and seminars to high-level conferences, we delivered practical trainings and valuable learning opportunities with our partners to foster cross-regional in LAC and bi-regional cooperation with the European Union. 

• 5800+ participants in attendance: engaging participants to build their cyber capacities. 

Key Highlights 

• Small- and medium enterprises in focus: strengthening SMEs cybersecurity with in-person training in Antigua, Guatemala and publishing designated guidebook. 

• Strengthening maritime security: addressing cybersecurity of ports in the Andean region in Guayaquil, Ecuador. 

• Building cross-border cyber resilience at Tallinn Cyber Diplomacy Winter School in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic. 

• 6 LAC4 members-only seminars for cybersecurity stakeholders and policymakers from LAC4 member countries touching on the most relevant topics for practitioners.  

• Empowering women and youth: supported Her CyberTracks initiative and initiatives in-person training in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic in addition to supporting LAC4 representation at CyberWizards 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia and orgasing cybersecurity bootcamp in LAC4 Centre. 

• CyberWeek@LAC4 & 0ct0b3rf35t: bringing together more than 40 speakers and 150 participants to build regional cyber resilience and strengthen cooperation between LAC and European countries. 

• Welcomed 3 new members: Costa Rica, Colombia, the Bahamas
