LAC4 Co-organised a Cybersecurity Technical Forum in Lima

LAC4, the Delegation of the European Union to Peru and EuroCámaras co-organised a cybersecurity technical forum titled “Cybersecurity for a Digital Peru: Experience, Capacity and Cooperation” on 5 October in Lima, Peru.

LAC4 Regional Manager César Moliné participated in a session dedicated to cybersecurity crisis management, highlighting how regional cooperation, tailored training and joint exercises can strengthen countries’ preparedness. Drawing on LAC4’s work in the region in countries such as Panama and Uruguay and lessons from European cyber incidents, he emphasised the importance of clear responsibilities, reliable communication channels and rehearsed response procedures.

Organised as a joint initiative under the Global Gateway, the event brought together Peruvian public institutions, critical infrastructure operators, private sector representatives, academia, civil society and international partners for exchanging views on priorities shaping Peru’s digital security agenda as well as on cooperation between Peru, the European Union and wider Latin American and the Caribbean region.
