The CyberSecurity Bootcamp starts today in Santo Domingo at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). It brings together 60 girls aged 13 to 16 from the Dominican Republic for combined bootcamp of technical trainings and teamwork.

Her CyberTracks Strengthened Incident Handling Skills

A week-long Her CyberTracks proramme training concluded on Friday in Santo Domingo. 16 women from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic gathered to level up their cybersecurity incident handling skills and technical expertise.

Her CyberTracks Training Kicks Off Today in Santo Domingo

Her CyberTracks Programme’s Training kicks off today in Santo Domingo at LAC4 Centre for a weeklong in-person training. Titled “Her CyberTracks – Incident Response CyberTrack: Women in CyberTech Camp@LAC4” brings together the LAC cohort of 14 aspiring female professionals from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic to strengthen their technical capabilities in handling cybersecurity incidents.

Her CyberTracks: Empowering Women to Shape the Future of Cybersecurity

In May 2025, LAC4 launched the Her CyberTracks programme, designed to empower women in cybersecurity through targeted training and mentorship across three specialized learning paths: policy & diplomacy, incident response and criminal justice. LAC4 is supporting participants from Latin America and the Caribbean region to join this initiative, which will conclude in early October with an in-person training in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

LAC4 General Assembly Convened to Set Plans for the Upcoming Year

The governing body of LAC4, the General Assembly convened last week in Antigua, Guatemala to review past year’s activities and achievements as well as discuss upcoming activities and priorities.

Members-only Seminar on Cybersecurity Governance Frameworks

The 7th LAC4 members-only seminar, led by EU CyberNet Experts Gabriela Reynaga Vargas and Jurica Čular, focused on cybersecurity governance as a cornerstone for ensuring digital security, institutional resilience, and operational continuity in the face of complex and persistent cyber risks. While national governance frameworks, such as cybersecurity strategies, public policies and regulatory measures, set out broad lines of action, their effectiveness was shown to depend on strong organizational structures capable of translating principles into concrete mechanisms.

A LAC4 Guide for SME-s is Now Available

LAC4 has published a “LAC4 Guide for Small and Medium Enterprises” to strengthen SME-s’ cyber resilience, written by EU CyberNet experts Mari Seeba and Milena Patiño-Villa.
