Her CyberTracks Programme Launched to Empower Women in Cybersecurity

The 4th edition of the CyberTracks programme, co-organised by LAC4 and partners is open for applications to bring together more women in cybersecurity across globe for an intensive training journey to equip them with skills and knowledge for success in cybersecurity. Deadline to apply is 19 April 2026.

The curriculum combines virtual and on-site training with personalized mentorship and leadership development. Each participant will follow one of four tracks:

  • Policy & Diplomacy CyberTrackfor women in cybersecurity policymaking or those transitioning from technical roles. Participants will explore concepts and processes in national and international cybersecurity policy and diplomacy.
  • Incident Response CyberTrackfor women working in IT in public sector or early-career CERT/SOC specialists. Participants on this track will advance their basic incident response kills and make use of entry-level tools and techniques in cybersecurity fundamentals such as incident management and its lifecycle, digital forensics, cyber threat intelligence and incident communications.
  • Criminal Justice CyberTrackfor women working in criminal justice involving cybersecurity or countering cybercrime. Participants will discuss frameworks and learn tools to contribute to cybercrime investigations and prosecution. Topics include cybercrime, countering cybercrime, open source intelligence, cyber patrolling, digital evidence collection and management, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, human rights and digital investigation.
  • Cyber & AI CyberTrack for women with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity policy as well as technical profiles interested in focusing on the intersection of cyber & AI policy. Participants will explore the intersection of cybersecurity and AI with a focus on policy and governance.

The programme combines online seminars, self-paced content, interactive assignments and peer discussions. Participants are matched with mentors based on their professional interests, expertise and geography, and the mentorship includes regular one-on-one meetings and group mentoring to set goals, track progress and provide support.

Her CyberTracks is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (FFO) and the European Union (EU), with contributions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy (MAECI). The initiative is co-implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), in partnership with the Global Programme on Cybercrime of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Latin America and Caribbean Cyber Competence Centre (LAC4).

Following Up the In-person Workshop for SME-s Held in March 2025 in Guatemala

LAC4 organised an online follow-up training on 26 March 2026 to SME-s that participated in in-person workshop in March 2025 in Guatemala. Training focused on evaluating participant’s cyber resilience one year after the training and offer additional knowledge for strengthening cyber resilience.

Apply Now! Training for Strengthening Cybersecurity Skills for SME-s from Andean Region is Open

LAC4 in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Andean Community and the Delegations of the European Union to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru is welcoming applications from small- and medium enterprises of the Andean region countries to participate in a training to strengthen cybersecurity skills. The in-person training takes place from 11 to 13 May 2026 in Lima, Peru. Deadline for applications is 15 April 2026.
