Chile

The National Cybersecurity Agency of Chile (ANCI) joined LAC4 on behalf of the Government of Chile in January 2026.

Despite its accession to LAC4, Chile has already begun to engage actively in the Centre’s activities. In particular, Chile has been involved in the “Is Your City Cyber Secure?” training and tabletop exercise for cities, organised in Montevideo, Uruguay, alongside representatives from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. This initial engagement illustrates Chile’s interest in strengthening cybersecurity preparedness at the local level while contributing to broader regional cooperation initiatives.

The National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCI) is the national authority tasked with advancing cybersecurity in Chile through the design, coordination, and implementation of public policies that integrate technical, regulatory, and operational capabilities. Its mandate includes reducing exposure to cyber threats, strengthening the protection of critical services, and safeguarding individuals’ rights in the digital sphere.
