At HackConRD 2026: Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity

EU CyberNet Expert Carlos Polop delivered a session on using artificial intelligence in cybersecurity and pentesting at HackConRD 2026 conference on 28 March 2026 in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic.

Session explored how a pentester can use artificial intelligence in a practical and straightforward way to become significantly more efficient in their daily work. The session examined how AI can automate repetitive tasks, help professionals stay up to date with cybersecurity developments in less time and significantly improve the understanding of projects to be audited, as well as the quality and number of vulnerabilities discovered.

Carlos Polop also presented examples of how AI can support advanced processes such as deep code analysis and the identification of complex vulnerabilities, including assistance with and automated discovery of potential 0-days.

Carlos Polop is a recognised specialist in offensive cybersecurity and creator of HackTricks. He also holds multiple advanced certifications in offensive security. His work combines deep technical research, open-source contributions, and leadership in security teams.

HackConRD 2026 is the largest hacker conference in the Dominican Republic, organized by RedTeamRD. It brings together cybersecurity professionals, hacking enthusiasts, and students interested in technology. Its goal is to raise awareness about the importance of hacking and provide a dynamic space where participants can learn about how cyber threats operate and how to prepare to face them.

Following Up the In-person Workshop for SME-s Held in March 2025 in Guatemala

LAC4 organised an online follow-up training on 26 March 2026 to SME-s that participated in in-person workshop in March 2025 in Guatemala. Training focused on evaluating participant’s cyber resilience one year after the training and offer additional knowledge for strengthening cyber resilience.

Apply Now! Training for Strengthening Cybersecurity Skills for SME-s from Andean Region is Open

LAC4 in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Andean Community and the Delegations of the European Union to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru is welcoming applications from small- and medium enterprises of the Andean region countries to participate in a training to strengthen cybersecurity skills. The in-person training takes place from 11 to 13 May 2026 in Lima, Peru. Deadline for applications is 15 April 2026.
