Members of the European Parliament Visit LAC4 Centre

On 22 September 2026, LAC4 Centre welcomed the Members of the European Parliament José Cepeda, Nora Junco García, Hermann Tertsch and Jaak Madison.

During the visit, the delegation received an overview of LAC4’s work to strengthen cybersecurity capacities across Latin America and the Caribbean. The discussion focused on the state of cyber readiness in the region, including the challenges faced by institutions in building effective capabilities, protecting critical services and responding to an evolving threat landscape.

The exchange also highlighted the Centre’s role in fostering resilience through practical training, technical assistance, policy dialogue and regional cooperation. César Moliné Rodríguez shared perspectives on the importance of sustained partnerships between European and regional stakeholders to support a more secure and resilient digital future.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the shared cybersecurity priorities between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean, underlining the continued importance of cooperation between the European Union and the region.
