LAC4 Concluded a CSIRT Operations’ Baseline Training for Panama

From 24 to 26 June, LAC4, in collaboration with the Government of Panama, held a three-day online seminar to support its members in building and strengthening Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs).

It offered participants structured and practical guidance on how to effectively establish and operate CSIRTs. The sessions focused on real-world implementation and provided a comprehensive overview of core functions, organizational structures, and technical requirements.

Throughout the seminar, participants gained valuable insights from real-life CSIRT implementation experiences across the LAC region, enhancing their ability to build resilient, effective, and context-appropriate cybersecurity response teams.

The workshop concluded with a simulation exercise on incident response, giving participants the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during the seminar in a practical, hands-on scenario.

The training was led by EU CyberNet experts Carlos Leonardo from the Dominican Republic and Roberto Lemaitre Picado from Costa Rica.
