Workshop on Cybersecurity in Ports for the Andean Region

The workshop aims to help ports and related authorities enhance their cyber security posture. Participants from selected ports and public authorities from the Andean region (Ecuador, Colombia, Peru) will acquire skills and knowledge necessary to develop robust strategies to address their specific challenges.

Ecuador, Guayaquil

The primary goal of this workshop is to empower cybersecurity managers, from various ports and related public authorities, to independently create, implement, monitor, and adapt their information security plans. By enhancing their capabilities, participants will respond more effectively to physical and cyber security threats.

Through knowledge sharing and collaboration, the workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of international experiences among the participating cybersecurity managers. Participants will learn from each other’s practices, apply best security measures within their respective organizations, and collectively contribute to an overall enhancement of port security in the region.

First three days will cover following topics:

  • Maritime economy and security;
  • Digitalization and cyber security;
  • AI and cybersecurity;
  • Cyber security (and data privacy) by design (and default);
