Workshop on Best Practices for Cyber Policy & Legislation

LAC4 and EU CyberNet together with the EU-LAC Digital Alliance policy dialogues on cybersecurity is organising a three-day workshop on best practices for cyber policy and legislation.

Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic

This initiative aims to strengthen regional capacities by promoting the exchange of international standards, best practices, and emerging trends in cybersecurity policy and legislation across the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. Drawing on experiences and legislative frameworks from both the Americas and Europe, the workshop will provide participants with practical insights into cybersecurity governance, risk management, critical infrastructure protection, incident reporting, public procurement and international cooperation.

Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, and collaborative exchanges, participants will deepen their understanding of effective and harmonised national cybersecurity frameworks while exploring future-oriented regulatory approaches to address emerging technologies and evolving cyber challenges.

By bringing together policymakers, legislators, cybersecurity professionals, industry representatives, civil society, academics and technical experts, the workshop seeks to foster regional cooperation and contribute to a safer, more resilient digital environment across the LAC region.
