Port Cybersecurity Training for Panama

LAC4 in collaboration with the Panama Maritime Authority organises a four-day training for ports and authorities in Panama to strengthen Panama’s cyber resilience across its maritime and logistics infrastructure.

Panama, Panama City

The programme will bring together representatives of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), National Customs Authority (ANA), National Aeronaval Service (SENAN), Aquatic Resources Authority (ARAP) and the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG).

Participants will explore maritime cyber threats, IT/OT security, supply-chain resilience, governance and risk management, incident response, threat intelligence and inter-agency crisis coordination.

Through practical exercises and a multi-agency simulation, participants will test communication, decision-making and response arrangements in a scenario involving ransomware, disruption of port and customs systems, manipulation of maritime positioning data, and disinformation. The activity will support stronger coordination, clearer protocols and a more resilient approach to protecting Panama’s critical maritime ecosystem.
