LAC4 Members-Only Seminar: Standardised Secure Procurement Practices and Cybersecure Supply Chain Guidelines for the LAC region

Modern organisations increasingly depend on a complex landscape of vendors, products and service providers. These third-party dependencies can introduce cybersecurity risks and potentially become an entry point for attackers. To support LAC organisations in assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks throughout the procurement and supply-chain lifecycle, LAC4 and EU CyberNet have developed the “Standardised Secure Procurement Practices and Cybersecure Supply Chain Guidelines for the LAC Region”. Next members-only seminar will introduce the guidelines and explore how these can be applied to organizational contexts.

Key Focus Areas

  • Understand the key cybersecurity risks associated with third-party and supply-chain dependencies, including risks arising from vendors, products and service providers.
  • Explore practical approaches to secure procurement, covering the different stages of the procurement lifecycle from strategic planning and requirements definition to supplier selection, contract management and secure decommissioning.
  • Learn how to use the Guidelines and its practical check questions to identify, assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks in procurement and supply-chain processes.
  • Identify practical measures that can be applied within their own organisations to strengthen third-party risk management and cybersecure procurement practices.
