EU Diplomats to LAC to Participate in Cyber Capacity Building Training

EU CyberNet and LAC4 welcome the delegations of the European Union to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean to a three-day cyber capacity building training from 18th to 21st March in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic.

The course is driven by increasing (inter)dependency and reliance of digital services in ever-evolving global and open cyber threat landscape while there’s a clear need for better multistakeholder and -partner cooperation and coordination across cyber capacity building activities. Most notably, the steady growth of different actors creates additional complexity as well as favors working in silos while the landscape is interconnected.

The delegations of the European Union and embassies of the Member States of the European Union are trained to formulate, design and monitor cyber capacity building activities and increase coherence between programming and the needs of partner countries with the EU’s strategic vision and policies for cyberspace in mind.

The course seeks to increase participants understanding of cyber concepts and provide them with methods, tools and approaches to comprehensively succeed in cyber capacity building programming.
